Second Devlog || Mechanics, Game Versions, and Team.


Hello there, It's time for the second devlog. 

Things are starting  to move slow but efficentally on gears. I have announced my idea to my friends, and they want to help me with creating with game design, plot, and other main keypoints in Dotara. My friend has been on board with creating the mechanics of Dotara, and from his ideas, they seem very interesting, and might make into the final game itself. I will make a comment on the second devlog, with the sketch ideas of the main mechanics of each character but I will do the rundown on what each thing is being added which includes:

-Weapons(Swords, bows, etc. They are buyable.)

-Items (Food, powerups, etc. They are buyable.) 

-Ultimates(Not buyable, as given through characters, and every 5 attacks they are usable.)

-Upgrades(Upgrades are given throughout your playtime of each character, the more you use one character, the more levels you progress.) 


These are the main ideas of Dotara's main mechanics in the RPG. There are also going to be bosses throughout the game that you'll encounter, make sure to use your ultimates wisely, there will be different mechanics each monster you'll encounter. Maybe sometimes you'll need to dodge something with your arrow keys, maybe you'll need to avoid spikes from hitting you, sky is the limit with mechanics. 


I already have a plan to make 3 versions of the game:

Alpha Demo: Will have some mechanics that will appear in the final game, and some will be removed. There will be about 20 minutes of gameplay, and I plan on releasing the Alpha Demo during mid 2022. 

Alpha:  The alpha will have mostly every mechanic in the final game. There will be more weapons, mechanics, remastered textures, and more bosses. I plan on releasing the alpha full release during late 2022/early 2023. 

Full Release: The Full Release will come out considerably late, I am going to be working on having about 10 hours of full gameplay throughout the game. There are going to be more characters, weapons, defense, and items. I plan on releasing the full game in about mid 2024, at this time I will be fully comfortable with the game, and see it as a finished product to be released to the public.
